Hi, I’m Hadley!

I’m an Editorial Designer based in Chicago, specializing in publication design and typesetting. I work with publishers, magazines, and authors to design, layout, and typeset the covers and interiors of their publications.

I’ve worked with a variety of clients (including Hardie Grant, Little Engines, Lanternfish Press) on lots of different projects (including cookbooks, novels, nonfiction, and magazines).

Office Hours

Mon–Thurs: 9am–5pm CST

• You can expect a response from me within 24 hours during these times.

Sun: 9am–5pm CST (admin day)

• As a one-woman business, this is my day to focus on administrative work so I can continue to deliver high-quality work. I am usually not available during this time, but I do my best to reply to emails. </aside>

Working Together

I want you to be in love with your publication, so I take the time to get to know you and your work before jumping in. I consider your style and budget, along with readability and accessibility, in all choices: from margin widths to typography to avoiding word/letter/punctuation stacks. I excel in tedious tasks that require meticulousness and attention to detail, so typesetting is one of my favorite things to do!
